Skied Wildcat State Park this afternoon. Tracks much have been groomed this morning (?) - classic tracks firm and perfect, minimal leaf litter. Ideal for twin-skin type skis. Nobody else on the trail. Skating - had 100% pristine first tracks, not a mark on the trail when we showed up. A little narrow and angled, and soft, but skiing mint cord above the Kickapoo Valley, no wind, all by ourselves...fantastic. A skis for sure

Kickapoo Valley Reserve (purple trail), great day. They groomed last Monday. Classic track was really nice. Skate deck was drifted over and a little soft but totally skateable. No bare spots or leaf-litter probs. Magic views especially next to the river. Skiing it again tomorrow and hopefully Monday.

Maple Bluff golf course. All rolled and tracked as of 6pm last night (Sunday 2/9). Gorgeous quiet evening for classic skiing on a 4K loop.

Did some skate skiing on frozen Lake Mendota yesterday (started at Tenney, zipped over to the terrace). Was hoping to catch Lady Liberty, but just missed her by a day, unfortunately! Still skiing on the lake was very fun. I would probably recommend doing classic over skate, though. Happy winter!
